Huntsville small business LSINC enters DoD mentor-protege agreement with Deloitte

Deloitte, which recently opened a high-end advisory services office in Huntsville, has entered into a U.S. Department of Defense mentor-protégé agreement with local woman-owned small business LSINC.

By entering into the DoD agreement, Deloitte and LSINC will work together to pursue large-scale U.S. federal and commercial projects.

“This program provides a great opportunity for Deloitte to mentor a highly innovative and capable firm such as LSINC as we pursue government-related opportunities throughout the region,” said Carey Miller, director of Deloitte & Touche LLP and the Deloitte Huntsville office lead.

The agreement is designed to help small businesses like LSINC boost their involvement in prime and subcontract awards by creating long-term relationships with larger companies such as Deloitte, which posted $32.4 billion in revenues for fiscal 2013.

LSINC Chief Executive Officer Alicia Ryan launched Leadership Strategies, Inc. in 2008. In November 2011, she reincorporated as LSINC before acquiring Inergi, Inc. in June 2012.

The company now offers turn-key, life-cycle product development, such as product engineering, rapid prototyping, technical documentation, scale models, mock-ups, and full-sized simulators. LSINC also offers business and communications strategies for federal and commercial clients.

Ryan said the DoD agreement is a “win” for current and future LSINC customers.

“With deep experience across DoD and other federal agencies, we intend to contribute greatly to this relationship,” she said.
